EVO VIII and EVO IX future values

Been doing some research based on the EVO X's future builts I have been noticing that they are making them less and less EVO sorry for the mispells but english is my second language, but for what I see EVO VIII and IX are more desirable to our kind of driver to what the X's are providing. So im thinking that our Evo's will soon hold their values and yes it will blue book drop but street price will still hold like the 1994 supra tt.

it will never hold like a supra because the production numbers are significantly higher

evo's and most cars in general are not holding value well at all

I think that good cars will hold their values and appreciate in time. By that, I mean low-mileage, mint Evos in almost new condition. I don't mean riced out cars modded within an inch of their lives. I don't know if the prices will reach Supra levels, but it is possible. As Chaotichoax mentioned, it's a matter of numbers. If the Evo market moves at the same pace, continuing the attrition, the numbers will decrease quite a bit in the upcoming years. I think that few mint cars will be around in 15 years. Given the Evo's street cred, history, and its provenance, if you will, there is a good chance that a select number of cars will fetch a good buck.

the supra holds it value because they dont have newer existing model
that makes them unique
the last badge of the toyota sports car
but for evo
not gonna happen
look at the evo6 when the evo7 arrive
everyone say the same things

^ I agree.

Toyota doesn't make Supras anymore, there isn't even a replacement. Supras hold value for that reason.

All cars in general lose value over time, doesn't matter what it is. Only thing thats going to make it more valuable is the rarity of the vehicle in the future.

Now we have the 10, then its going to be 11, 12, 13, 14, 15..... so fourth.

When Mitsubishi stops making Evos...... now thats when the price will retain.

So Evo prices will drop. Soon, every ricer will have one....... but one in good condition thats been taken care of........ now thats something that just *might* hold value.

if any hold value then maybe the 9 will. 8's and 9's get wrecked pretty much all the time. little fender benders look pretty dang ugly on the evo. i say the 9's because it was only one year so it might be a little more rare. just my .02

Honestly the rarest supra was the first year it had hard top i think 92 or 93 they only made 300 of those but the rest are either non-turbo converted to turbo via swap and then the owner sells it to some unknowledgeable fool. Personally I would never pay 40k for any supra nowadays, thats how much they costed brand new.

actually... the rarest one was in 1994. can fully remember the name of it but it was some kind of special edition that they only did in 1994. 1992 was a completly different body style. the good body style didnt come out until 1993

The Evo will depreciate in value like most vehicles do. However, I think that over time the value will start to level out and will stop falling. The reason the Supra holds value so well as the owners set the value. If the entire Evo community started selling high - the market will adjust to those tactics. Afterall, a vehicle is only worth what an individual wants to pay for it.
