I have a catless TBE with HKS carbon-ti and it sounds amazing!

 

Its a turbo car. The exhaust come off from there. It does not change sound because of that.

 

you are crazy,first off,the b5 s4 was a v6,not a 5 cyl,2nd that engine is wayyyy better then there 20V
cmon bro, your s4 was a v8.Of course an evo will not sound like that.I wish mine sounded like a carrera GT.

Yeah, I can attest to that. The Buschur bullet set up is nice. I get compliments all the time. Nice whirlly turbo sounds at low RPM too.

The old S4's (91-94)had the 20v 5 cylinder turbo motor. maybe you should check your facts before you correct someone

 

i have yet to hear an wvo that sounds like *** as you say.

Evo's do not just sound like a 4 banger, if anything S2000's sound like 4 bangers with there high pitched scream.

Idk what evo's you've heard but ive yet to hear a bad sounding evo, except for ones with no exhaust.

Id say Evos exhaust are pretty deep when listening to every other tin can equipped Honda..I have the TUrbo Back Cobb-test pipe..im VERY pleased, good tone on idle and dosent scream for attention with its stock-like appearance.

 

I LOVVVVED my Buschur Bullet Catless TBE on my old Evo. My new Evo has an AMS exhaust and while I'm sure power and function are near the same, the Buschur, in my opinion, looks and sounds much better. It's by far the best sounding exhaust I've heard on an Evo yet.

The thing I liked about the Buschur is it's loud, gurgely and poppy and sounds down right ugly. Pretty sounding exhaust should stick to pretty looking cars. Evo's are ugly in an awesome way, so they should sound ugly too

I was sad when I heard my evo start up after I bought it. Was used to my old integra LS with a catback Greddy Echaust with the baffle tub removed. I loved the sound of that motor and any RPm. It was slow though =) But it sounded like one of those cars from 2 Fast 2 Furious. I loved it.

My evo on the other hand with a magnaflow (i think its just axelback - i dunno) sounds quiet. I cant even hear it. My LS i just loved keeping the revs high. I have heard annoying achausts on hondas, but the greddy was deep and rumbly (especially with the baffle tube removed haha). Anyway I didnt get an evo cuz it sounds good. I went with an evo X reirc valve instead of a TurboXS because I want performance. I bought the evo instead of the STi because its closer to a racecar than an STi IE harsher ride tighter steering blah blah blah. But thee STI (imo) sounds 100 times better. In fact, every time i hear one go by, I start drooling because it sounds so damn sexy!!

But maybe when I upgrade the exhaust from my little magnaflow can, I will notice a better sound!!! I dont think it sounds like *** but it definately is not as attractive as a boxer growl. But come on its a 4g63 - an engine that has more than proven its worth!! Ill keep it!

 

I have the AMS and I would say mine could be considered loud, gurgely and poppy, thats what I like about it. How long you had yours on? I know mine starting sounding better after a few weeks.
