Thumbs up How many Evos will your dealer get??

Well, there are a total of 593 Mitsubishi dealers in the U.S. Here are the details:

AK 1
AL 11
AR 7
AZ 11
CA 60
CO 9
CT 10
DE 3
FL 44
GA 25
HI 3
IA 7
ID 3
IL 22
IN 14
KS 5
KY 9
LA 12
MA 10
MD 13
ME 4
MI 8
MN 8
MO 9
MS 9
MT 1
NC 26
ND 1
NE 2
NH 5
NJ 19
NM 8
NV 3
NY 32
OH 17
OK 5
OR 5
PA 27
RI 2
SC 10
SD 2
TN 14
TX 42
UT 7
VA 18
VT 1
WA 12
WI 11
WV 5
WY 1

If MMSA imports 4000 Evos, each dealer will get 6 or 7 (6.75 each), assuming allocation is even (which most likely will not be the case).

This is good news for me because I am #6 on the deposit list at my dealer!

If 5000 Evos are imported, each dealer will get 8 or 9 (8.43)...even better.

So 4000 really aint that bad.

I'd say Hawaii is the best place to be, they are closest to Japan! The first shipment will definately be for them.

I hope so, but thats not always the case, sometimes when I order stuff from Japan it gets sent to the mainland first, not sure if it's the same for cars, of course cars are shipped by boat. Would be nice to have the first shipment though.

I think the size of the dealer might also be a big factor on the number they'll recive. My dealer (Boch mitsubishi in MA) told they'll can get as many evo as they want for ppl who has already put down deposit. I think Mitsu is working on a ordering system where they wont send an evo to a dealership unless you've already ordered them.

I said this already in another post but it applies here as well...

If Mitsubishi is smart, they will supply Evos to all dealers holding deposits first. Then allocate the rest of the 4000, or however many they produce. This way, they are guaranteed to sell, and not sit on the lot for longer than a week.

I doubt there are more than 4000 deposits down...what do you guys think?

I bet there's a couple hundred in the US now. As soon as real details hit, I bet it could be over a 1000.
