My evo is spitting flames!
I have a full turbo back with a cat-delete and my car has been spitting flames about a foot and a half long between 3rd and fourth gear shifts
I dont have any fuel management and i was wondering if anybody knows if this is bad
It doesnt do it all the time, just mainly during some spirited driving

Dude get some video of that, lol!
As SS said, it's just fuel burning in the exhaust rather than the combustion chamber. Get on that a/f management pronto. If you did have a cat, it'd probably be toast by now anyhow.

P.S. Flames spitting out of your exhaust = sweetness! Oh, and catalytic converters are for chumps!!! Well, that or Californians
EDIT>>> Oh, and you'll love that emanage, it's sweeeeeet!

Depending upon where the combustion is taking place (like if it's happening near the turbine) it actually may cause damage to the turbine wheel in the long run.
My personal preference is for high-flow cats over test pipes. I find it helps cut down on the stink and will still allow the exhaust to flow freely.

An AFC would surely cure all his problems, but personally I'm waiting for the AEM EMS to come out. Also trying to get a GB going for it from someone, would anyone be down for that? (Mods, I still haven't approached vendors, so please don't delete)
I think we should be able to get in on them for 1400 or so, PM me for info when I get it.
I highly doubt it'll cause any damage... you're just running rich.
One that fuel mgmt gets in there, no more flames...
I saw some while I sat shotgun the other day...
and it is suuh-weet.

My buddy has a mis-firing unit for his WRX and that thing blows hardcore flames! the only problem is that his turbo goes bad after 20k or so... i read somewhere about having a system installed that produces the same effects of a mis-firing unit, without the effects of turbo blow back...
