If you want blacked out headlights....

For those of you that are interested in blacked out headlights I am posting some pictures of the Sparco EVO that will debut at the SEMA show. More photos of this car will be released on evolutionm.net prior to the show........

It is really quite easy and it changes the entire look of the front end......(not to mention the Gialla front bumper).

That car looks incredibly hard, and they did away with the uber cheesy "altezza wannabe" tails!!!

CF Wing

My left wing upright had a hole punched in it and it's definitely carbon fiber.

The wing is carbon fiber... I got hit from the rear and you can clearly see the weaves of CF! On both the sides and the top piece.

Yeah just went out and looked... can't tell from looking but the sound is the same as the wing insert, so I assumed as much. Thanks for confirming that.

That's cause the JDM VII/VIII share the same bumper.

Only our USDM Evo's get the ugly bulbous (IMO) bumper.

I was at the dealership today and the sales guy was telling me that the Mitsu rep told him about the RS version that will be sold here.

He said that it will be about 500 pounds lighter than the current car.

Roll up windows, no radio, no sunroof, no A/c, lighter suspension components, diffferent spoiler, and no AYC.

He didn't know what it was going to cost.

He's probably full of it, but we will have to wait and see.

I want those black headlights.

Also, I don't see how they could make aluminum suspension lighter... Probably time to wave the BS flag.

Most likely it wont be called thunder grey like the regular lancer. We need something more rugged like we do with tarmac black and apex silver. I expect it to be something like Brake Dust Grey or something.

That would make it about ~2600-2700 lbs. depending on type of weight measurement. That would make them lighter than the current RS models, and as light if not lighter than all WRC cars. Not likely.

That's because it will have plexiglass rear windows, CF body parts, magnesium/titanium suspension, an aluminum block with titanium rods, carbon fiber seats, no sound deadening, no interior paneling, etc. YEAH RIGHT... Like I said, time to wave the BS flag. I doubt we'll get the MR version for another reason not mentioned: One of the reasons we didn't get AYC/ACD is because of the extra maintenance required on the diffs. Every oil change (recommended at 5,000 miles) requires a diff fluid change, too. That could get mighty costly. Mitsubishi was skeptical that people would pay the $35,000 or so the JDM Evo would have cost, plus $120 for maintenance every few months. They were probably right, but they should have given us the choice... (The other reason is that the AYC control box resides in the place our emissions control box resides.)

The color is sweet, though.

if this is true, then mitsu got some idiots in their market research dept. they are definitely not going to make money on this one... and if mitsu keeps screwing up on the current evo, ie warranty issues, they will lose more customers and more money.
US customers want luxury(pw, pl, ps, ac, etc) quality, reliability, and MORE POWER.
bring us the jdm evo with 300+hp 6speed, ayc, acd, auto climate control, nav, etc.
... if you build it, we will buy.
