SSL vs GSR/MR/RS Sound deadening

Ok here is the scoop. I met up with a local yesterday who had an VIII with SSL package (leather interior). He had the APEXI catless turbo back which is ok loud but inside the cabin it was more on the quiet side. It was actually very mellow inside.

So my question is do the SSL's have more sound deadening material or is it maybe just the leather all around that is quieting things down (incabin)?

I changed my evo 8 gsr saude interiors for a full set of ssl leathers including the doors panels and I hear the same level of noise with both interiors. I think it is all about the exhoust system.

if you really want it quiet you can take everything out and add more material to cancel sound( find the stuff they put in diesels)

Thanks for the replies. I guess he probably might have had sound deadening stuff added in by the previous owner... It did seem a little too muffled inside, especially from road noise.

I also think that is the same thing for all Evo level trims...
I think that in 2006 models it have a little more sound deadening material in specific places (my 2006 have some under rear seat and my friend's 2005 dont have it)
