Where can I get my hands on a shop manual for the Evo?

Guys and gals,
Is there a shop manual available on either CD-ROM or book form that has a schematic of the various systems in this car?

I'm trying to figure out where to plumb for oil pressure, but a manual like this would definitely be helpful.

Also, is there any way to research Mitsu part numbers other than bugging the local stealership?

(For you Audi/VW guys, I'm looking for an ETKA/Bentley type solution)

I know I posted this info before, but when I looked for the thread, I couldn't find it. I know the PTB were nervous about links to the bootleg version being posted, but my post was about the "real" manual from Helm. Don't know why they would have deleted that.

Anyway...the URL for the Evo shop manual at Helm is http://www.helminc.com/helm/product2...WB0U8T64HU140B The price is $135, but it is shown as being out of stock...

At this time, the dealerships can't even get that manual (same part number listed on the helm site) because they don't have any printed. The local dealership is trying to get me the CD version....I will let you know the part number and cost as soon as I find out myself

About a month ago, I ordered the temp shop manual on CD from Mach V for $49.95.

It was on backorder from Mistu. A week ago I got a call from them saying they had got them in and that Mitsu was not going to print a paper version and that the CD version was now the "official" version and Mitsu had bumped the price up to $199.95. :-(

I canceled that part of my order, not sure I want one that bad.

I'd also like to hear any updates on this.

You can try ebay. There are many illegal copies there.

$200 may seem high at first, but when you consider that your dealer ( and most reputable repair shops )
are charging $75 - $85 an hour labor, the manual pays for itself the first time you do a job
yourself that you would have otherwise taken to someone.

I will be having Mike get one as soon as it is available.
BTW, it is Mike's dad. I am the main mechanic on all the family rides.
I try to get manuals for all the cars we have owned.
Some sets have been more than $200, and they were worth every penny...

That's the current state of affairs as far as I know it. No paper manual coming, CD version costs $199.

That's still cheap for what you get, IMO. I'm going to try to find one for cheap...does this include a parts catalog or no?

Q. Do you accept credit cards?

To help keep cost low, we only accept check, money orders, and biday.com

That link posted above from ebay is actually my auction. I dont accept paypal because they froze my damn account since too many funds were going in and out and didnt have "recipts" or proof of where the money was coming from. Long sotry, but I am suspended from paypal until the 24th of october. I dont know why you would go "hmmmm" or"wonder" since I have 143 feedbacks and now you guys who I am and that i have posted MANY times on here about my car and such. Anyways if you want the manual its good as you can see from the people who have left + feedback who have bought them off me. Anyways I wanted to clear things up so people did think that auction was a scam because it isnt.

Bah, get together with some other members of this board, chip in 20 bucks a pop, order one, and make copies for all. The solution is VERY simple, and suddenly the price gets much more reasonable.
