Evo service manuals available

I know everyone has an electronic copy of the service manual and would never think of paying for a legitimate copy... but for those who are interetsed, it looks like you can get copies of the Evo service manuals now.

http://www.mitsubishiparts.net/catalog/?section=315

2003 Evo Body Manual $38.10
Service Manuals $156.97
Electrical Manual $26.16

The website said "service manual coming in August" for the longest time. I guess mid-October is close enough to August.

I said this in a different thread ---
You may think that those prices are high, but seeing as your dealer or any reputable repair shop
( the ones you would actually let touch your car ) are charging $75 - $85 an hour, the manuals
pay for themselves the first time you DIY on some problem that you would normally have taken in for service.
Well worth the money, IMHO.

When you consider the bucks some people throw down just for bling items, paying for something
truly useful will not be regretted.

mikesevo8, I fully agree, it's just serious sticker shock for a book. Then again so is the mitsu tech website daily access rate. :O

Considering the limited production run and the proprietary nature of the content and I think the price is in line. It is certainly in line with what Robert Bentley charges for their manuals on CD for Volkswagen-Audi cars.

I need one thanks for the FYI. The price is high, but well worth every penny. Plus with this I have a friend who is installing my new clutch for 100.00. Can't go wrong there.

I would like an electronic version as well. Not to screw someone, but I have a PC in my garage, and it would just take up less space than books.

Is there someplace online you can buy them in electronic format.?

I don't think it's too bad, even if it's a CD copy as people are saying. If I were to buy the manuals for my old Subaru 2.5RS it would've cost like $700 or something like that. The whole set was like 8 books, and you needed at least 4 or 5 of them to do most work.

In that light, $150 for a service manual doesn't seem to bad to me.

I wonder if the ones from the site I posted are CD or paper... probably CD. The part number is very similar to the one listed on the Helm site. Mitsu -> MSSP206B2003, Helm -> MSCD206B2003.

Thanks for the link Seņor.

I put in a request with mitsubishiparts.net about the manuals listed on their site. The parts advisor replied back that it is a set of books.

someone shoudl buy it and scan the pages so we can all get it for free. Or make a PDF file of the manual. That would be awesome

Great idea! Be sure to let us know when you've finished scanning.
