installed my apr wind splitter.. but..

so i installed my wind splitter today. and i had to drill holes because the holes didn't line up.. has that happened to anyone before? i have a evo ix mr. and i bought the evo ix wind splitter..

the holes on mine did not match up either and i was forced to drill holes........dont be alarmed

Mine matched up but had to be hogged out a little as they were a bit small.

if you by chance have a SE lip that is why...you need attachment pieces to make it work

if you have a oem ix lip then everything "should" have lined up

^correct if you have the stock ix mr lip, not the se lip, you don't need any additional pieces.

yes when I installed mine, half of the holes didn't line up at all so have fun drilling away

i have the stock mr lip.. the holes were off.. anywhere from 2mm to like 10mm at most.. so they weren't off by alot.. but i still had to drill...

I had one on my old VIII and it fit perfectly, except one of the holes that mount to the cross memeber was off.

on the bottom of your lip you will see a rubber edge that extends out a little bit, you have to cut this so its flush against the lip or else the splitter won't sit flush against the lip. You will see what I'm talking about once u put the splitter against the lip.

sorry guys no pics i already drilled the splitter. and put nuts and washers on it. hey how did you install your fender liners?

lol some people just have more luck than others.. but i always thought the product is the same though.. wierd. i know its not the car.
