Which car would you keep? 2006 EVO 9 or 2007 Corvette Z06
I'm torn here. I bought my 2006 Evo 9 new and I have had a lot of fun with it. IT has never done me wrong. The handling and steering feel is so satisfying!
I made the mistake of driving a newer Z06 and I bought a used 2007 in the spring of this year. It is such an amazing car and really has opened my eyes to the magical power and torque of a large V8 that can breathe.
I have to sell one of these cars to make it easier to make ends meet. I figure I could by another used Z06 in the future if I sell this one, but the EVO I can't buy new again. I know a lot of these EVO's are beat to crap and mine isn't.
Both cars are garaged during the winter. No matter which one I keep, both are garaged when its nasty out.
The Evo 9 has 43000 miles and the Z06 has 51000 miles on it. Both are still under warranty. The Evo has a 5yr/60000 bumper to bumper and a 10yr/100000 powertrain although I think it would be hard to warranty any powertrain issues because of my mods. The Z06 has a 3yr/36000 bumper to bumper (expired) and a 5yr/100000 powertrain which is 100% good to go because the car is 100% stock.
Evo 9 Mods:
FP Green Turbo
Aquamist Alcohol Kit
AMS Front Mount
AMS IC Piping
AMS Battery
AMS Flash
AMS Intake
3" Turbo Back Exhaust
Enduratec Coilovers Installed and set by AMS
Cosworth Cams
Boost, Alcohol, and wideband gauges
Walbro 255
780 cc Injectors
380 WHP @ AMS Dyno
2007 Corvette Z06 Mods:
None
I am told Z06's put down 430-450 WHP stock. I have not dynoed my car so I cannot confirm this. Although the car "feels" faster than my Evo.
What would you do?
1. Keep the Evo!!!
2. Keep the C6 Z06!!!

This really depends on what you will be driving in the winter.
Having almost traded my Evo for an 03 Z06, I say go with the Vette.
I have driven the newer Z06, and its a blast. I would get in lots of trouble w/ it.
LMAO, you think you still have a warrant for the Evo.

I have both and wouldnt sell any of them. The Evo and the ZO6 are amazing cars i love the V8 power but then again theres nothing like boost in a EVO
I wouldnt know which one to sell that would be a very hard decsion.

Exactly...It's VERY tough, but one has to go. I'm torn. I have been thinking about this for a week now and I keep flip flopping. I just can't decide!
I vote for keeping the Evo on these grounds - "I figure I could by another used Z06 in the future if I sell this one, but the EVO I can't buy new again. I know a lot of these EVO's are beat to crap and mine isn't."
That's the key point here. You know you have a solid Evo, and the last of the 4G63. You'll be able to find new Corvettes at a later time, or at least used ones in better condition that aren't beat to sh*t.
