i would say keep the evo only because right now with the bad economy you dont know how to resale of GM products will be Government controlled and all. Ill pass on that. As somebody stated earlier you can find used z06 rather easy which makes them hard to sell. How about you put them both for sale and which ever one sales first you just keep the remaining one. thats a fair way to do it.

I say keep the evo because you say yours is in great condition with no problems. Plus the evo is much more of a rare car in all reality. I see tons more corvette's + zo6's than I ever see of evo's. It's just one of those things that I like about the evo but then again it is your decision.

Put both of them up for sale. Which ever one selles for the better deal then keep the other. They both seem like amazing cars

There's too many corvettes around here, keep the evo.

since u garage both cars in the winter, i would keep the corvette. I love both cars.
Also the corvette probably gets better gas mileage than the evo and the insurance is cheaper on the corvette.
good luck

I bet you won't be disappointed. The C6 Z06 is a decent
quick ride no doubt, but GM quality is substandard in my
opinion. Plus almost everytime I notice a C6 Z06 for sale
that is preowned, it usually has soo few miles on it that it kinda makes
you wonder why someone would get rid of a car like that so quickly? Hmmm.
Lots of Vette's have few miles because they don't typically get purchased by "boy racers" who struggle to own them and have no daily driver. Most people buy Vette's as weekend/track cars and have daily drivers.

To the OP: You want a cheap japanese rally "inspired" sedan which gets hideously modified by moronic kid owners often? Or an old man's sports coupe made by a bankrupt american car company owned by your tax dollars?

I'm just trying to make the decision harder. LOL

In all seriousness, it's a tough choice. Both are amazing vehicles with huge potential.

I love the fact that people on a Mitsubishi forum are talking about garbage GM build quality and reliability! Pot, meet kettle.

I vote keep the evo, on the premise that getting a used evo is hard to find.

My two Evos were/are the most reliable cars I've owned in 30 years behind the wheel. No squeaks, rattles, buzzes, mechanical issues or any other anomalies. Excellent build quality and a hilarious performance envelope.

You are correct. It is counter intuitive to think a 7L V8 gets better mileage than a 2L 4, but its true. I have routinely gotten over 28mpg on the higway in the vette. The vette is about $150 every 6 months cheaper to insure than the EVO as well.

I just don't know what to do. I have owned about 15 DSM's and 2 EVO's over the past 12 years and I love them! The Evo's been great! The vette has been an eye opener. It really is a beast on the street. The EVO is fast as well, but the steering feel beats the vette hands down.

Based on the fact that I hate goin anywhere in my evo (cops) I would say get rid of it..

At least you won't stick out like a sore thumb everytime you cruise the vette

I have a similar debate in my head about once a week (see avatar). I don't have a Z06, but a 2008 base coupe with the LS3 along with the evox GSR. The vette is nicer on a highway run, costs less to insure and has a higher 'status' factor on the street.

My friends told me to keep the vette because, to them, it seems funner or scores more style points. Of course the evo is different when you factor in your own personal driving experience like how tossable it is and is high enough off the ground to be more practical. In my case, the vette is paid for, bone stock, and driven half as much, so it really is easy on the wallet at the moment. The evo costs like $700 per month or more in payment, gas and consumables cost. I was actually think to get a vw golf diesel.

my ultimate goal is to keep both of mine and buy a commuter car. we'll see

p.s. I didn't vote on your poll because i can't answer the same question in my own case.
