What to look for?

I'm going to look at an Evo this weekend, i just wanted to know what to look for?

I already know the basics on what to look for, such as

motor mounts

stock turbo psi is around 19 PSI (evo 8)

any other tips on what to look for? or what i should do? thanks

Timing belt, and if I were you, look under the deck lid and twist out the rubber bumpers. Looks to see if then mounting hold for the spoiler are starting to rust. It happens when people want to so what it's like to go wingless, but don't put the wing back on correctly.
And if you can read spark plugs, I asked the people I bought mine from to pull one, it's a decent way to determine how the car was driven and/or if it was previously tuned.
Also check the clear coat on the wing... look for signs on evo skin cancer...

Gear grinds, especially 5th gear. Factory undertray? Many people toss these when they install FMCI's, or IC pipes. Look for dented rad fins in from of the turbo, may indicate it had a bigger turbo at one time or o2 housing.

Another thing to do is check the nuts on the manifold to see if they have been removed, if they have there has probably been a bigger turbo on there or a diff manifold!!

Thanks for the fast response, is there anyone in general whom i can ask some financial questions about the Evo? Such as pricing of it? I don't want to pay too much for an 03 Evo 8 and don't want to seem like a tire kicker/ low baller.

PM me or just leave a name and i'll PM them, thanks again!

One thing I'm starting to notice a lot of as well, is injector connectors...
Tone of people remover the locking clips and don't put some of ANY of them back on...
Also, look got broken connector and roughed up wiring. Signs of an average or below average engine removal/install.
