I can be wrong , but i din't not see any proof of that yet.
Other hand, i know people who got covered and they where missing a crash beam.
I challenge you to call your insurance company and pose that question to them and see what they say.

I'm not trying to be an a-hole but I just don't see an insurance company covering a claim for a car that takes a front end collision and that car is missing their front crash beam.

I no a friend that got into a wreck with her car a (integra ) and while she did have the crash beam on she had a aftermarket steering wheel with no air bag she got a ticket for it from the officer but since she was not at fault for the accident the insurance company said nothing to her she took the money and got a TL while i do not reccomend driving around without it nobody here is 100% sure that you will get denied just cause you dont have it .

The only thing that is 100% in life is death and taxes. The point I'm trying to make is that I seriously doubt that an insurance company would cover damages that could have been prevented if the front crash beam was there. I'm sure the final decision is up to the insurance adjustor so maybe if you are nice to him/her then who knows.

I hear this all the time. Have you ever had this experience? I can speak from first hand, they do not check to see if you have all of your safety equipment when issuing you a check

This is a complete internet myth.

yes it still functions. it depends where you crash though of course. but the crash beam will still do its job in a collision. definately worth it to keep it on, only reason u would take it off is if ur fmic is too large and therefore if that is the case ur racing the car on a strip or something, where crashes are very unlikely.

insurance companies will deny a claim if modification to the safety beams are made. think about it..if u crash in the front end what gets damaged depending on the severity..bumper, fmic, pipes, etc. but what about if the beam is removed..all that plus the possibility of the radiator being damaged which can then damage the all the turbo parts and push that into the block. the damage would be exponential if the beam is removed compared to if it were still on.

No they don't. I am sure they legally can, but they don't.

yea, but if ur DD the car you don't need it light as ****. maybe ur not worried about hitting something, but what about all the other idiot drivers out there.

a $3k front end job could turn into a total loss if the crash beam were removed, and insurance probably has the right to deny coverage if that modification was made.

You won't sway my mind, i'll let you know before you try. I am only speaking from experience, they do still cover claims if you do not have a bumper beam.

yea they may still cover the claim. however, if they find out it a main safety feature was removed, they could deny.

These cars still had their crash bar on....

It's a 5mph crash beam rated for low MPH collisions so that you do not have to pay as much if you bump into someone at a stop light or something like that. It's not like you are removing your frame. Any high MPH collision is still going to damage your car beyond repair, crash beam or not. It is a common misconception that the beam is rated for high mph collisions.

But, the internet has confused a lot of people on that topic!

You are still safer to keep it on, but you are also still safer to keep your car in your garage if you don't want to damage it
