Hood vent question, help please

i bought a carbon fiber hood but the stock vent/metal piece that goes under the mesh on the hood is too small, does anyone sell a bigger vent that goes under the mesh? thanks

I don't know of any. If anything, make some out of some mesh/chicken wire.

i dont have a problem with people seeing inside the hood, just that the rain in florida, dont really think the rain will ruin anything but scared the intake filter might get messed up, so im looking for a vent cause the stock one is too small

It was on my stock hood but I was thinking maybe you could send them an email or something and find out if it will work for you.

ill save you the time no it will not work. on majority of cf hoods dont have mounting points for that vent. you would have to drill though the hood to fit that thing dont see that happening unless your dumb. you will have to custom make you a vent if you care. Water is not going to hurt your manifold and radiator lol. your filter can handle water. when in doubt why not get a fabricator to make you a sheild to go over the top of the filter problem solved. Its probally what im going to do later on

Yea what Rockman said, it's not going to hurt anything. I've driven for years that way, never a problem. Plus, some mesh isnt going to stop any water.

I also wasnt using one for a while, I baught that one cause I lost the stock one. I think the Miss threw it in the trash. I only put it on cause I would get stupid questions like "does it come with that turbo or did you put it on". If they didnt know about the Evo i didnt want to explain a billion times that it comes like that.

Got my oem vents to work on the Seibon carbon hood. Just takes alittle innovation and creativity.
