Help: removing evo 8 steering wheel

Hi, I need some help from you guys. im having problem removing the steering wheel. i can't remove the 8mm bolt becuase the head is cracked. i cant use the 8mm wrench to turn. i tried to hammer it out. the bolt is like crazy. i tried to search, but noone have the same situation as me. Help...

If i cant get it out by tmorrow, ill bring to the shop see what they can do.

I was just thinking........Is there enough room to drill the *** end of the bolt & use an "Easy Out" in a clockwise direction........Just a thought.........Peace

no room.

im thinking is there anything i can cut the bolt in half.

You're right...... I now realize that the steering wheel is still on (Hello).......How about some needle nose Vise Grips on the broken head?.......Sorry man, looks like a real PITA for me to conquer.

Edit.......How about using a 9mm now & somehow driving it into the broken 8mm head. Or hammer & chisel striking the broken allen head to loosen

theres another evo forum that has a "how to" on removing the steering wheel.. except i cant remember where exactly..

It's not that he doesn't know how, it's the fact that there is a stripped bolt.

You could heat it up and see what works. As for E-Z outs. I have used them about 10 times and all have gone wrong.

The leather on the top of my stock wheel is peeling and I want a 9 one in all black. If you find decent write up please let me know.

alrite, i got it out at the shop today. Just installed the evo 9 wheel. im selling the steering wheel airbag right now. Condition of evo 8 wheel is the leather on top is peeling a lil bit. if anyone intersted let me know
