well last week my car catches on fire =[ and someone stole my friends STI one day ish after my incident... well im gonna talk to the insurrance about my car and my friend is doing the same. life sux right now...

What is wrong with the Midwest? I've heard of 6 Honda's stolen and only 1 guy got his car back. Now, right under me, an STi is gone.... All this in just a week.

Yep, it's ridiculous. I think a lot of it has to do with resources really not being put towards the problem. I handed a local PD a name associated with a car theft last year where the parts had been put up on CL and they never even looked into it.

 

Got ask... how the hell did it catch on fire?

my car will catch fire too, if it wouldnt start, blown tranny/tcase..., but missing evo9 front seats

Anybody that has a car that's worth some $$ should have a garage to park it in. Just my $.02

 

Theft used to be really bad in the NYC/Long Island area, then they invested some money into a police division called auto-crime and now the thefts are down like 98%. Some cars still get stolen but nothing like it used to be. The division drives impounded/recovered cars so you never know where they are, I saw officers in an H2 Hummer not to long ago. We even see them in street clothes poking around at some of the bigger car meets out here. Makes me feel better!!

 

hey guys ill post the only pics that i have of the car and yeah i think that was me at lukes i was there with my friend with the other WW and a blue evo8, and yellow 8... some how i smelled fuel popped the hood then i saw fuel by the fuel rail then kaboom... so yeah im gonna go ask the issurance about it tomorrow but no clue what to tell them lol and about my car not wanting to stay on well that was cuz of this dial in i got and cuz i was running on e85, that "tune" was good for only like a week lol sh**z gay...

Been gone for a month being repaired, so i have the nifty rental. I'm a bit down on money, so I couldn't afford the insurance, barely have the rental, but I have to get to work.
