My seat belt light is flashing a beeping. wtf?

My seat belt light is flashing a beeping. wtf?

hey guys i have never heard this noise or have seen the light flash in the year i have owned the car. on the highway today i had my seatbelt on and my gf had hers on in the passenger seat and i saw the seatbelt light start to flash and now it beeps. it is highly annoying and i have no idea how to stop it. help!

Look under your seat, there's a plug just unplug it, that's what stopped mine from going off haha. I only have one plug under my seat and it's on the front right side so if you have more plugs or something then idk.

haha thanks ill go check that right now. its weird though because it has never done this in a year. hopefully its not a short or something

You just wont have a seat belt light come on ever again. If it was a short you would have probably blew a fuse and it most likely wouldn't work so i don't think that's it.

ok i figured it out....the person that owned the car before me took the clip out so the two wires were touching each other. i just put some tape over them and it is all good
