let the wife drive the evo today ...
I barely taught my wife how to drive a stick before i deployed so she takes it around the neighborhood and what not so its just not sitting in one place but of course kills it and probably ruining my brand new clutch as we speak
. Its fine even tho my entire area probably thinks oh great here comes the red evo that stalls at every stop sign dont get behind it.

My wife does the same thing, I am deployed right now and she has been driving it around the neighborhood. She has owned manual cars though but hates the clutch in my evo. I'm sure she doesn't stall it but 3 grand take offs are probably a norm.
I tought a few wemon how to drive stick in my old 01 subie when it was turbo, they loved it and did well. Never let any ladies drive the evo. My mother loves it, scares the crap out of her when I hit a hairpin and get the back to steer a little faster than the front. then the huge ear to ear grin comes out.
I've been trying to get my wife to "learn" to drive a stick for the last year or so!!! I had a 350Z and she wouldnt touch it, she said she was scared to tear "my precious car up"!!! The same goes for the Evo!!!
Back in the day, the Wife was a two wheeled knee dragger. Even got offered an Aprilia RC250 semi-pro deal (turned it down with two small kids). However, 15 years later, she doesn't like the Evo. Says it's like riding an unruly steed that just wants to go all the time. Says "it wants to get out from under you"... I thought that was funny. She drives a lightly modified Subaru 2.5 LGT these days and still gets a little conservative two wheeled seat time, but not as often.

I let my wife drive my car two times...the first time she got pissed at me because she said that I was freaking her out and "making a big deal about everything"....I held onto the o-**** handle and prayed that nothing bad would happen...after that she said that it was fun, but she wanted to drive it without me in the car...I told her " I bet you would...and that's why I want to be in the car with you
... a little while later I let her take it to the grocery store after a long warning about being gentle on the throttle until she was used to the car and watching out for lag and boost spikes when the car was still warming up....once she got back she told me that she gave it a little sauce coming out of the grocery store, got it squirrelly and got caught off guard by how fast it reved up and hit the rev limiter...LOL I love when she listens to me....She's a great driver, but I just want her to get used to the cars power before she tries slinging it around. I've always been crazy paranoid and protective of my cars though...so i'll probably always cross my fingers when she drives
