I like letting the wife break things on my cars! then it is a great excuse to upgrade

 

I just started teaching my wife to drive a stick. She didn't do to bad. Stalled 3 times and then off we went..till the stop sign. Stalled 3 times and off we went. I want her to be capable of getting us home if I have one to many beers. I don't get totally shat faced any more but I wont risk driving with just one to many.

 

I taught my wife how to drive stick in my Evo. Granted she already had 20 years of driving experience so it was all about the mechanics of shifting and not basic driving. Whenever she would drive it when I was deployed she would tell me that the car just wants to go fast. I would tell her "duh". She would also complain that the car doesn't like her and would act like a jealous girlfriend.

 

The wife has driven mine a couple times she says its nice but when I owned my m3 she begged to drive it

 

Only if I wanted to collect on the insurance.

i actually taught my gf to drive a stick about 3 years ago on my evo VIII. She did really well especially since it had an act 6 puck . She only killed it once because she came to a complete stop and didnt have the clutch in or take it outta gear. She then fell in love with the sti and bought an 07 about 4 months later. Which is sweet, cuz i get to drive a stage 2 sti a lot . And she likes her car so much, that she barely drives mine. now the modding war continues at home!!

 

i let a girl learn how to drive on mine, now its sitting in the garage awaiting the new clutch... at least it gave me an excuse to get a new clutch and she knows how to drive it now

 

I let the girlfriend drive my GST when I had it. I don't know how I would feel about the EVO if she asked.

 

No way my wife drives the Evo...

She doesn't understand what it is (especially modified) and thinks it's just my fun, noisy and rough riding man toy.

If she drove it, it would most likely scare her so much that she would want me to get rid of it.

 

i would never get my car to drive my girlfriend ,unless its really important when i was drinking and need to go somewhere,but i woul never let somebody drive it without me in the car ,i need to be on the passenger seat at least.only my dad can.thats the only guy i trust.

She drives it all the time. Does a great job. Need to finish teaching her to rev match on the downshift and slow down and be in gear before the corner. She is tiny too, very cute in the drivers seat
