auto insurance will only cover OEM stuff unless you have aftermarket part insurance....as for the ipod, laptop I would try going through your home owners or renters insurance and btw where in CT was this??? I'll be sure to not park my car there overnight!!!!

 

yeahh half of it has to be filed under homeowner, and the other half under car insurance.

it was at the residence inn in Southington.

A lesson to all...never, ever, leave anything in your car that's not bolted down, no matter where you are; hotel, airport parking lot, your own driveway!

Obviously, not much you can do about the stereo but at least some of the other stuff would still be in your possession

We always see these threads and if anything else, they should remind all of us to be safe with our stuff as the scum of the earth is always lurking

Since you are looking for a Viper Alarm System...I was looking for the same. I went to the Manufacturer's website and for the one I liked, they want $299. A friend of mine said to copy the model # and go to froogle. Once at froogle, paste the model # and it will find you the cheapest one...I just bought mine for $132 NEW, shipped to my door from Amazon...That saved me a whopping $168. W00t W00t!
