Car needs TLC...bad!

UPDATED 17DEC09!!
With the recent addition to my family (new son in July), starting school from scratch (I'm Active Duty Army), and starting in a new position at work, my car has gone all but to ****...

I don't know why I let it get this bad, hell I usually wash her weekly, and wax her bi-weekly, with a good wash and deep wax monthly...but I haven't even washed her in a month.

Here's a list of the things that are currently wrong (with action taken towards fixing her where appropriate):

Engine Bay
* 3" downpipe (Megan Racing type 1) vibrates against lower braces.
- FIXED!

* Sporatic boost leak at high boost from throttle body.
- Have shaft seals/TB gasket on hand, just haven't installed them yet.

* Throwing a code for my <achem> legal <achem> 3" exhaust. This one's bad, as it's causing me to run RICHER THAN SNOT, and I'm buring through gas like crazy...
- Still need to buy/install a CEL fix (mechanical)

* Tubular Turbo Manifold gaskets leaking (Megan Racing type).
- Still need to purchase/install new gaskets (I reused the old ones...per another members recommendation...never again)

Interior
* GIANT hole where my radio once was...
- Still need to fabricate a block off plate, with a place for my ZT-2 display...started! Still working with the plastic.

* Recaro seat (driver's side) plastic is busted. This causes the right shoulder and side bolster to move...though slightly, it's still annoying...
- Still need to look into repairing/replacing...

Exterior
* Fuel door piece (the one many owners have had a problem with) is busted...
- Still need to find this part number again...and fix it.

* Exhaust (Espilir 3") is burning up rear bumper... I guess this one was for a JDM rear...
- Carbon Fiber Shield bought...still needs install. Talked to a guy today about moving the hangars.

* Rear bumper dings from little sister's first 5-speed reverse experience...
- Still need to look into repairing/replacing...

Ugh, I need a couple cases of Bud Light and a week...and I'll have it all done.

Folks, don't let problems go, saying "I'll get it this weekend..." This is not an uncommon problem in our community. The sad part is that we still point and laugh at the guy in the 1995 Civic that is half painted, has chrome wheels, and a loud ***, trunk vibrating system...with an alluminum wing and dual-outlet exhaust that just looks horrible...

Tender Loving Care...a necessity for you and your beautiful piece of Japan.

We all do this from time to time. Just as long as you catch em before it gets to bad.

My cars gone to absolute crap too for now. As soon as I'm done with finals I'll be giving her a full winter detail and cleaning the crap out of the interior along with finding out and fixing whats wrong with my suspension.

Sort of inspiring. Makes me want to go work on my car. Get it done man, she deserves better. Take care of it, and she'll take care of you.

You can't let it get to you. The car will be fine and you have more things to worry about at this time. When you get a chance spend a good day working on it. I did that last summer on my interior and it came out very nice. You have to do a little at a time to. Right now my car has a white hood, faded red body, a clear headlight and a blackened headlight. Next spring it gets repainted and a new undercoat. It may not be the best thing to look at right now but hell if it doesn't bring me joy in driving it. I am sure you will find time as needed.

Of course you want to fix the mechanical issues first. =P

Awareness of the problem is the first step to solving it.

Thanks for serving. I used to be a 15T (UH-60 repairer/crewchief). I'm in the IRR now.

It's one thing if you're that dude that doesn't have crap going on and just let your car go to s*** but you have legit reasons. Just hop on it first chance you get
