Importing a RHD VII?

Been in the market for an VIII, and actually have a few in mind, but was just wondering if its even possible to import a street legal VII? I know an importer who is telling me its possible and easy, but I'm not so sure. Always liked the VIIs. A bit more then the VIIIs maybe. Don't mind RHD either. I did a quick search but didn't help. My pc is being slow. If this has been asked, please direct me to the page. If possible, just how expensive would this be? Because this importer to leading me to believe its not to much, but again, not so sure.

Just wondering.

it would cost you far less to get an viii or a ix and it will be way less of a hassle

unless you have connections you are not going to be able to get the car registered as an everyday car easily

I was just wondering. I do also have an address in Canada, so I could infact get an evo 1 or 2 but it would be at my moms for its entire life. Plus, I'd rather just get an 99 impreza RS and save the hassel rather then an evo 1 or 2.

Still, I love the VIIs. Always have... When I'm done school, and in my LEO career if its even possible maybe I'll look more into it...thats once I own a IX, and 06 STI and an VIII... dreams....

Edit: What if it was LHD? Would that make it able to be street legal without the hassel? Isnt there an RS model in LHD? Conversions?? I'm grasping at straws arn't I...

i have a rhd VII in NY. for whats it worth. dont do it. i waited just 3 months for papers to go through. It was alott out of my wallet. im 20 years old and i was stuck home for all that time. and without knowing the right people you wont get anywhere. Even coming through canada is illegal. Canadas import law is the car has to be 15 years old which just recently changed to 25 just like the US to prevent US getting imported cars.

If you want a VII there are some LHD 7's, not too rare i think Gigi Galli had one also. But if you just want the look of it get a good VIII and change the front bumper, hood and spoiler, maybe even do a tail light conversion... and of course drop in a few pops and bangs.

What did you do to get it here? waiting 3 months wouldn't bug me. Drove a bike for the first 17 years until I got a car, whats another 3 months. Probably just buy an VIII, and when its paid off either buy a IX or look into the VII more as a 2nd evo.

Why would you even want to do this? Get a 8 or 9 and put a JDM 7 rear bumper with a set of jdm rear Red tails. Also the front bumper can be changed, but the Evo9 is better in so many ways.

It is just not worthit. Just google the history of Motorex... you will see. If there were any easy way to do it then it would have been so common on the streets already. We would see R34s, Evo VIIs everywhere.

Plus depending on where you are, I think having a RHD vehicle and attempting to make a left turn at an intersection is just suicidal...
