Odd. Did you buy the car new?

Does the car start if you put the keys in, put the car in neutral and crank it without the clutch depressed? If it does start without having to push the clutch in, your clutch switch might have been disabled.

I know a few Supra guys who do that as their first mod.

My clutch switch is not hooked up or it is bypassed since I have a remote start. My 2 step works fine still. I also have an ix. Just my 2 cents.

If you find that the clutch pedal is working then you need to be very easy on the gas until it hits 5500 then get on the pedal more. this is how I was taught by my tuner.

My mistake, all the 8s i have tuned have not had it enabled.

I didn't know 2004 models were offered with ACD either.

It is just a stationary rev limit present and ENABLED in all roms 03-06. Just 03-04 had it set to a higher RPM then the regular rev limit

03-04 Stationary Rev Limit 7969
03-04 Rev Limit 7606

Not really sure why the heck they did that just to change it in later years??

Warranty Claims maybe due to kids dumping clutches at close to 7k rpm??

try going to 7k to see if it's there. i had mine at 5300 stock working fine, then I got tuned and i thought it wasn't working any more. Then i realized it was moved up to 6000.

I've haven't used my 2step for like almost 2 years now. I might go try it out in the snow later to see if it works....
