Reverse lights stopped working?

Reverse lights stopped working?

REVERSE lights dont work anymore.. not sure when they went out since its hard to see everytime u go into reverse.. i didnt see and fuses in fuse box for the reverse lights and checked all the ones under the hood, which all seemed fine

any ideas? i havent dont any electrical work lately which would cause it to go out

That's where all of the ones on the 1st gen DSM's were. I've honestly never really payed attention to the Evo tranny's to be sure about that one

It is been depressed by the brakes peddle in normal position. If you look under the steering wheel you will see.

I was wondering how something on the steering column or brake pedal would apply to something dealing with shift linkage and reverse lights

checked the plug connector ontop of tranny and it is in real tight.. any other ideas..honestly im not sure when i could have happened

a buddy asked if i had red reverse lights when i was backing up and i was like noo should be white.. but yea still dont work

Even though it is in real tight, as with all electrical parts they do end up going bad at some point. The switches are relatively inexpensive so you could try one. I would put the car in reverse while not running and check for voltage at the bulb sockets where the reverse lights are.
