I just ordered that switch aswell. When I installed my exedy twin, i saw that the switch was only holding on by a twinge and then the wires snapped right at the switch..... So hopefully I can get the new one and splice it in.

Might be a bit of a pain to splice the wires back in if they snapped off that close to the switch itself, you could try finding that pigtail which will make the whole ordeal a lot easier or try some type of spade connector and slide them onto the pins and you don't have to worry about polarity with that type of thing either.

And that would be Post #1 of the whole thread. He stated that when asking his question.

my car is only 3yrs old and i've had to replace the reverse switch already. we did diag for a whole day before we came to the conclusion that the switch was the issue. LOL
we just figured "it's not that old. it CAN'T be the switch".

doh!

unplug the switch on the top of the trans and take a paper clip or something and jump the wires together and that will tell you if the switch is bad

Check the fuse. I had the same problem, check the bulb all was good, then the fuse. it was blown. replaced it and reverse light worked again. FYI the fuse is behind coin compartment labled "reverse". it uses mini fuse 7.5 amp
