So I realize lately that my reverse light isn't working. Well it does from time to time, I check the bulbs and fuse and its all good. Could it be the reverse sensor on top of the transmission going bad? Thanks in advance for the help guys!!!

 

That most likely would be the culprit if what you said is true.

 

Thats how mines was...and it was indeed the sensor. It was fouled up by transmission gear shavings.

interesting - how do you know it was transmission gear shavings? if that can foul up the sensor, makes sense that mine went bad - transmission was built 4yr and 10k miles ago or so.
