this may be a noob question but ill take the risk anyways. As the title says, my "service engine light soon" came on. I came home and made sure everything was ok, and it all appeared to be in order. I will check the oil levels in the morning before I go to work though to check the basics.

My service history is i bout it in Jan of 09, 24k miles. oil and major service at 28k, oil change at 30-31k (service center ****ed my tranny so they tried to change the oil and say it was golden, wonderful. long story short), changed the oil at 34.5k (daily driver), and my light came on today and i just rolled over 37k. I wonder if its just anouther oil change or if i am missing a scheduled tune up.

Any ideas, i know you gentlemen cant give me a direct answer since you do not have my car and a scanner to check what is popping up. I am merely looking for helpful suggestions before i have to hit the stealership.
