Motor mounts are on their way in so the engine can be dropped into the car within the next few days.

Um, lighter?!

The street car was a pig. With the same power a 144mph trap would turn into about a 157mph trap and that is the difference between 9.8 and 9.0. We just refused to ruin a good car with a welded in cage so we bought this chassis.

There will be a number of changes with the car.

That's besides what it does to the value of the car.

To take a car from bare to fully built drag car I am just guessing in the area of $70-80k with someone doing the work for you.

fully built motor - $6k to $10k
Turbo Kit - $4-5k
Trans and T-Case - $4-6k
Clutch - $1500-$2500

I mean that is about $16k right there and thats not even finishing the motor.... such as motor mounts, intank manifold, etc. etc.

Its very very expensive to do a build like they are doing. But it will be DOWN RIGHT NASTY when they are done.

I maybe a bit off but it would be pretty close.
