i found a local guy that has a stock evo 9 turbo im thinking about picking up till i really get into my evo build. im looking for a little more power or is it not even worth the swap.

 

If you have around 2grand laying around get a FP BLACk, but if not The 9 Turbo is good, but up to a certain level. If your looking to make big numbers, dont expect more than 450whp. That's not exact.

ok. im just thinking about picking this turbo up to put on the car and drive it around till i have the money saved to build the motor. i have a borg warner 366 sitting at the shop im thinking about putting on the built motor with a full-race twin scroll

i bought mine for 450 with no wastegate.. it's absolutely mint
wastegates are like 50bucks, give or take..
im just going to buy a forge one, or buschur one if either get back to me

 

I'm out to do exactly what you're shooting for. Slap a tubular 02 housing and a stronger WG that will be a very solid setup. The 8 turbo is just too limited...turbochargers.com $775 bnib but I have seen them go for $400 rock bottom also

 

Less than 500. Especially if it is used. Try and get the whole setup, not just the turbine, it should all come in just at or close to 500.

i dont want a fp black. a fp black is not going to get me over 700 whp. im thinking about buying this turbo cause i can get it for like 100. im going to put it on the car till i have enough money saved to build my motor. i may just buy the turbo and post it up for sale on here if i can make some quick cash off it

Go for the 9 instead of the 8... There is a reason why most people swap them out in their 8's. Also, the price should be significantly cheaper than 500 for an 8 turbo.
