Help: Hose btwn Intake manifold and UICP keep coming off!

Here are some info:

stock evo 8 gsr besides full TBE, mbc to 23 psi.

At first, it had one t clamp to hold the black hose on the body of the IM. It came off while boosting. I put it back on again, then it happened again. Now I have 2 t clamps on it. Still it came off while boosting.

I have the basic t clamp. Nothing really special about them.

My question is - is this normal? Should I get better t clamps to make sure it wont blow off again? What's an alternative to fix this problem so I can boost without the GF freaking out whenever this happen???

Thanks in advance.

yes, its the factory black hose coupling that connects the uicp to the body. i bought a big enough t clamp to fit the 3 inch diameter of the circle. IMO the hose is pretty worn out.

and yes i tighten it up tight enough...

Tighten down the t-bolt clamp until it doesnt tighten any more (thanks Aaron). Unless you have a tbolt on the factory aluminum pipe, otherwise you'll oval it.

hks...... uicp is hks and so is turbo outlet. i bought the racing suction intake and it came with polished turbo outlet. and the ssqv specific kit for evo came with polished uicp and flange for vta blow valve. if you still need the stock black hose and pipe i just found it digging in my garage in a box by my r1 let me know...

Spray a coat of hairspray where the coupler and the flange mates then tighten the clamp. Works like a charm.

Go to ETS and get their intercooler and pipe kit. Awesome quality and great pricing that is what I have.
