Search around, there are a billion clutch threads out there. If you want cheap performance go for ACT. They have known lockout issues. If you are willing to spend a little more, go for Exedy. Less issues, proven performance. There are many people who use ACT successfully though, just needs to be specifically for your setup, even then its a toss up. Also depends on horsepower/torque levels and what you intend to do with the car.

Good luck

IMO the cheapest clutch kit for the evo out there worth buying is the competition clutch line up. The stage 2 kit for close to stock evos is a carbon/kevlar disk. It's only $337. Includes pressure plate, clutch disk, T.O. bearing, and alignment tool.

I run a stage 3 kevlar along with a few others on the forums. I've had no issues yet. In fact I really like the clutch. Easy engaging, hard grabbing, no slippage, close to stock pedal pressure, and no lock-out problems.
