well the wires im pretty sure arnt factory, they say ralliart all over them so i think they were replaced at some point and i did the idiot test on the coils and they seem to work, based on the effects i got from messing with the plugs and gaps im pretty sure this is a spark plug issue

either the brp7es or the brp8es is fine. as long as your gap is around .26-.28 youll be fine. just make sure to pick a gap and set all 4 plugs the same. honestly it sounds like you have a boost leak. that will cause you to hesitate under boost and it will foul your plugs. and it sounds like when you were on your way home and you had to limp it back that one of the intercooler piping couplers came loose. as in when you were driving and felt the hesitation under boost only the coupler was loose enough to leak a little, but as you drove further it finally came loose enough to cause a major leak and to make your hesitation constant. hope i worded that correctly. its late for me

lol well i apprciate the help, it is possible its a boost leak i suppose but i checked all the piping and didnt see any leaks, whats bothering me is that its so inconsistant. when i first regapped the plugs it seem to run pretty good, it still had a shudder(miss?) at high rpm but it was a quick shudder, like half a second, then it was fine, and it didnt do it everytime. im pretty sure my plugs are fouled now so that does make it sound like a boost leak. Im going to get some new plugs, change the valve cover gasket and do a boost leak test and hopefully that will be the end of this. so the difference between the brp7es and the brp8es is heat range? which would you suggest for 20 Psi in ohio? i just want to pick one lol

i run brp8es at .28. i run 22psi daily. no issues. they only cost like $4-5 a set. the heat range is not effected by ambient air temps so much as it is for how hot the plug itself burns (sparks). the 7's are one step colder than the 8's. the reason most people run colder plugs is to help prevent pre-detonation (knock). i live it nashville, tn and it's been in the teens at night here. i have had no issues. the only thing ive run into is that the cold winter air causes boost levels to go up because the air is already so dense (cold) it makes the intercooler super efficiant. it has caused me to hit fuel cut a couple times. trust me you will know what that is. fuel cut feels like you blew up the car (violent, sudden hesitation). hope that helps

lol i know what fuel cut is, this isnt my 1st DSM ive owned serveral 1G DSM's in the past and have been down that road lol. After looking around some more it does seem like boost leak is the problem, im gonna make a boost leak tester tomorrow and order some new plugs ill go with the 8's. i really appreciate all the help guys. i will let you all know if this fixes the problem.
