to my opinion, even ours modded beloved evos can daily drive with no problems.
The question is reliability. There's always wear and tear down the road . The best way to keep the car last a long time is keeping it bone bone stock.

I used to DD my Evo when I still had it.

2.1L(Built by me)
6262
AEM
E85
Around Mid 600's on low boost(Dynojet)

9.43@150 on high boost, 780whp.

I thought I would only drive it on the weekends but its just so much fun.

I think 500+ is plent for DD? lol, i drive the car everyday to work and back, snow or rain :-> not droping a dime on mods anymore, just maintanance.

I know if i drop more mods, problems will start.

bought the evo brand new in feb 2005. very happy with the car.

500ish seems to be the max for a DD, although there are definitely notable exceptions (insert tuner). I would stick to 400whp, its more than enough for a dd street car, and will be less expensive to build.

I have driven my car with 500+ HP almost every day if not 4 days a week for the last 3 years.

No issues!

Got it in 05 with 64K on it.

I drive about 60 miles each way to and from work. so 5-6 days to work and it adds up.

it really is scary how fast miles build up when you commute in the car! I just bumped up over 50k in mine!

the D sport issue with the silver evo on the cover was a DD, pushing 800hp, and it was recently for sale on here
