I used to work in a body shop and 4 grand to paint a back bumper is the craziest thing i have ever heard of! I mean really are they using paint laced with gold flakes ?

some to keep in mind is bumpers dont take well to being repainted over time they will chip and look like hell, it never fails have seen this a million times.

plastic just does not hold paint all that well, compared to when it comes from the factory.

 

Save the loot, my car is banged up all over and the only people who notice are other car guys. Girls never will. Besides make up a story about being at a track day when it happened sounds bad ***, wouldn't mention that you hit your bros car pullin out of a seven eleven

 

try to fix it yourself lol

 

Unless you have some kind of OCD I say you just leave it alone.
