Update on My blown Motor

Ok, so as many of you can probably remember, my dads friend blew my motor as he was driving it to fix my camshaft sensor.

Well after about a month on contemplating what to do about my car, as to weather i was gonna try and return it to stock and get it warrantied by bell mitsubishi, or get a new block and have a local shop fix it.

After talking to one of my friends he told me he new a guy a friend of his fathers shop who was selling a built 2.4L 4g63 with like 1100 miles on it. I got the entire motor for $2800.00 Fully built with wiesco pistons eagle rods arp mains bearings etc.

im preety sure this was a great buy on my end so my car is still at dog box getting the finishing touches put on, at the time i dropped my car off i was gonna get my six speed built so i can sustain more power with this engine. seeing as my car is an MR i love the 6spd but hate how much power it can only hold at like 450AWHP.

i maybe getting a stock 5spd that someone is selling at dogbox but im not completely sure yet, but anyway with the 2.4L 4g63 i cant wait to be spooling stupid fast on my stock turbo.

My next mods will probably be Meth and a FP black, oh and maybe a little e85.

i cant wait to be running tens at etown =)

Not an expert but that five speed will be on borrowed time depending on how you drive. But hey if it aint broke, dont fix it.

you are right, you aren't an expert

there have been many drag cars that have run stock gearboxes into single digit time slips

good luck with your build and hope to see you at etown this season! I recommend running E70/85 to anyone that wants a gas that has 110oct+ detonation resistance capabilities and costs LESS than reg. 87oct! I've heard from a few gas station owners that we should be seeing more and more E85 stations popping up on the east coast!
