kelfords with spring and retainer upgrade and then your set hommie

cams for sure, do them before the tune, b/c you'll need to tune it after the cams anyways (save some green). How high are you going to push the boost?

Maybe you'll hit 400WHP on the butt dyno

Good Luck

even with e-85, on a safe conservative tune it will be impossible to hit 400 with evo8 turbo in my opinion....not worth it....

atleast get the 9 turbo with all supporting mod and e85... THEN you can do it

Its possible on the VIII turbo with the 10.5 to hit 400whp. You can even get more TORQUE out of it which is what you really want. On E85 I put down 410whp and 445wtq on a non ported completely stock 10.5 VIII turbo. IT CAN BE DONE!

i had those, they were garbage dont put them in. definitly save the money for some kelford or cosworth cams, theyll really make a difference in your 8

You drive 2 hours to get it and on your way home, it's empty. Another 2 hours back and forth and you're draining your wallet

spend a little time looking on the cite, there are many pages out there that help 1st timers know what to buy first. Modding for Newbs (i think this is the name of it) is a good one. But I would say you are defintaly going to need licp, s2 cams(springs and retainers), alch. injection, with these you will be right around 400

stock ported exhuast mani
stock cams
hks cam gears
magnus sheet metal intake mani.
Stock evo 8 turbo

thoughts, opinions, suggestions?
if you wanna hit 400 to the crank its possible if you put on a turbo from a 9 boosting 22pounds and some kelford 272s would be the way to go. yould prolly be around 315whp if your lucky with the list you have there. good luck

right now I have the stock o2 housing, how much will I benefit from going to a aftermarket one on the stock turbo?

I have been researching power mods for my 8 MR and with bolt-ons,cams and a upping the boost on a good tune it seems you would barely break 350whp....maybe.
