Dynoflash road VS dyno

I know some tuners are doing a custom road tune versus a dyno tune. What are the benefits and disadvantages of a Road tune versus a Dyno tune on a dyno.
All opinions welcome.

I have my opinions on this one, but I'd really like to hear others before I post mine.

Need help with this so anyone who has had experience please let me know.
All opinions welcome.
I get better results tuning on the road and now I always tune my car on the road

The load is much more true to the way your car works than a dyno

Only issue is the road tuning takes a LOT longer and usually costs much more

AND you dont get a dyno sheet - BUT we do have a datalogger which gives us the estimated whp which is deadly accurate !

It costs the same as the dyno tune - we save the cost of the dyno - BUT - it takes hours of time to do it

It gives you the same end result as the dyno tune without any dyno sheets

Biggest down side is the risk of crashing the car winding out 3rd gear while watching the wideband o2 sesnor

I know your kidding right. I would assume the onwer of the car would be driving while your monitoring the wideband 02

From what I know of Al, I think he's serious. Probably looking at 2 laptops while shifting and drinking a Starbuck's... Of course, no one complains when they get good A/Fs and add 20-30 whp.

Another great tuner of wrxs Yoshio uses the same approach to tuning. Nice to see you going a tried and true route
