I live in CA and the a dealer told me that they were getting the evo's in July not January anyone hear about this?

 

this one dealer said may like back in december... everything are rumors... i just say shut up...

 

Sorry about this...but I'm gonna scream the next time I hear "Dealer said this, Dealer said we're gonna get Evo tommorow, or never, dealer said his wife is ugly!"
Dealers know only as much about the cars as we do. Unless you got connections inside MMSA, you aint gonna learn squat.

 

 

Wait til July 14-16 the real info comes out then. Also some dealers already know the info but they haven't told their sales forces yet.

I didn't get what you were asking really but if you meant "what the hell does that have to do with the EVO?"...Mitsubishi will most likely tell its dealers everything we want to know about the EVO. MSRP, availability, specs, EVO VII/EVO XXX... The second they tell us we tell you. So instead of having a bunch of misinformed salesmen telling you guys the EVO 12 will be here yesterday, you will hear what tells us...

 

I'm marking that date on my calendar and I'll be following up on that.

Are you a dealer/salesrep ?!? 'cause you refered to "as soon as they tell us we tell you." Which kinda sounds like you might be associating yourself with an "us" in vegas. If it was a freudian slip, I understand...otherwise, can I call you on your cell phone during the presentations and listen in?

Also: I want a sunroof, GDI, and AYC. Please let them know...and be sure to tell them it's ME.

 

As far as options and what not they don't listen to us at this point. When a car is this close to release they can't really do that much(lots of $ involved). I doubt we will get GDI as the U.S. has yet to see a single GDI powered vehicle. They were supposed to release a GDI powered engine in the Galant in 99 but they couldn't get it to pass CA emissions, and I haven't really kept up with the situation since. Truthfully I haven't heard anything from the factory as far as what differences the car will have from the Japanese domestic model or European models. Auto Manufacturers are VERY vague when it comes to talking to dealers.

Anyhow I'm just glad they finally decided to bring the car, I've been quietly suggesting to Mitsubishi big wigs to bring this car since 97... Their answer then was "were looking into it", which meant what the hell does this kid know...

As far as listening in to the conversation I would bring in a camcorder if I could but security is tight for these events. They usually show us their vehicles that they will be releasing up to 3 model years from now. Needless to say they check all bags and jackets for cameras, cell phones, or any other device which could leak out what their plans are. I wouldn't be surprised if they pat us down this year
