Question Buying an Evo - Questions about paint and things to look out for!

I did search on the forums and couldn't find anything relating to new buyer questions. So, I apologize if this has already been addressed.

I am FINALLY in the process of selling my 350z and will be buying an evo as soon as I have the Z sold. I have title in hand so this process should go by fairly quickly.

I have my heart set on an Evo IX as I believe they are the greatest iteration of that body style and I can't stand the way the Evo X's look.

My questions are for you guys who bought used. What should I look out for? What are the nuances to pay attention to now that you guys have owned your Evo for a while? What things did you notice after owning the car for 6 months that you wished you had thought about or looked at before you purchased?

My second inquiry is about paint. I found the paint code sticky but it doesn't have a lot of information. I have my preferences narrowed down to 80% Electric Blue, 10% Graphite Grey, 10% Rally Red. I need to know which of these paints are pearl or have flake. One of the main issues with my Z is it is Pikes Peak White, which is pearl. It's been a five year long nightmare matching the color when I had to have something painted.

How easy is it to match the Evo's paint when it comes to new pieces and paint curing between metal and plastic pieces?

Any input or feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

lol funny he found that on the next post.

Check for obvious signs of molestation on any spunky car from the factory. Sure, people will tell you they didn't do this or that, but pay close attention when driving it. Check for excessive notchiness in the gears, look for any signs of stripped bolts in the engine bay if they said they never modded anything but you juuuuust dont trust them, check fluids and what nots to make sure they are keeping up on them. There's a million things to look for and, much like vacation, you'll notice what you missed AFTER you've made the decision to take it.
