I've searched, so before you flame me please read. I know that it should be possible, but I'm more or less asking how much of a pain it'll be. I have a Good quality EVO 8 Headlight that has ballast attached, but the tabs are broken. I found a housing online for a good price, but it is non-HID. Basically, I am asking if its practical to un-attach the HID headlight from the bad housing and stick it to the non HID headlight. And all I am assuming is that I'll have to find a was to change the wiring from one another. Is that correct?

Nope...that is not correct...and the only way I know this is because I tried. lol. My bro and I both have Evos...mine has HIDs, his doesn't. For some stupid reason, we tried to put them in his car....so...
-his housing was different. You will have to cut a whole in the plastic to get the ballast wire to the bulb. We didn't look into it much further...so dunno how much trouble it would be...but it's definitely not a direct switch...you will have to modify it...god knows how...but if you're desperate (i know...not a lot of empty housing out there), maybe you could make it work. Good luck.

yeah I was worried about having a headlight running with a hole in it. Afraid of water creep.
