so i put on a dc downpipe and an hks hi power exhaust along with a perrin intake. after driving for awhile i noticed my "service engine soon" light came on. is this associated with the downpipe since its a cat delete. this is odd for me bc coming from an sti you could put a catless dp with no problem of having a cel. also on a side not what do you guy recommend as oil i am changing my oil also. i was just going to get mobile 1 5w 30 but if you recommend something better let me know...thanks

I am satisfied w/ Mobil 1 10-30 w/ OEM Mitsu Filter. If the Service light is on then it has to be because of your DP. Either way, you can have it checked easily at Auto zone for free.

you have two o2 sensors. one in your o2 housing that deals with your AF ratio. The second one that happens to be after your cat is there to make sure your cat is working correctly. since you got rid of that cat your car thinks your cat is bad and is saying hey something is wrong. u can use spark plug anti foulers that have been drilled out that will pull your o2 sensor out of the stream of exhaust and make it so your car thinks everything is working just fine.
