Extended warranties are a joke. They can deny anything they want if the car has even a single mod on it.

 

Yeah I'm probably going to just cancel it and get my money back if they don't cover this one.

 

dealer did a free alignment for me when the car was under 1 year 10k

 

Well, my Evo has been spotless except one thing. I only use it for long distance and driving in the summer. And my transfer case broke down at 27k. Which really destroyed my confidence in how long they really last.

 

I had my transmission rebuilt and then replaced.

 

New MR 6-speed tranny and the stupid little gas door clip

 

+1 I had my transmission replaced. Took it home on the highway 5th gear grinds 5 days later took it to them had it replaced, they didn't want to though because I had a aftermarket muffler on the car. Which was there when I bought it lol.

 

Brembos - Replaced today under warranty
"Gremlin" Wiper Problem - To be fixed on Friday

 

The guy I got mine from had the transfer case replaced. They fixed my steering wheel and the armrest because they were wore out.

 

that looks like rust, not too sure though.. the pics are at an angle.. try to look into getting timing belts, and oiland water pump, thermostat, and all the tuneup goodies needed to keep your car running smooth..

What's paint warranty lenght? I couldn't recall if it were 7 yrs or something longer than the regular. My wing has been jacked for years...

 

Called Mitsu Corporate for my claim and they are having the regional come look at my rusted rear quarter. The rest of my car is in show room condition.

 

04 Evo, now with 71k miles:

Broken driver's seat, replaced
Broken passenger's seat, replaced
Wing - Peeled clearcoat, replaced
Rear control arm - bushing, replaced
Brembos - 4 peeling/fading, rpelaced with 58,900

Driver's and Passenger's rear fenders both rusting...metal swell is causing fender deformation...Claim repeatedly DENIED.

 

On my 03 Evo, between 2003 and 2004 I had three transfer cases and two transmissions replaced under warranty. Back when Walker REnton Mitsubishi was still there. Haven't had a single problem with my 06 Evo - knock on my wood.
