I would guess no since it's got a non-repairable certificate. I don't know much about rebuilt titles, but I imagine that certificate would stop it from passing a re-inspection for eligibility for a title.

Probably not.
Might have to be a track "only" car.

Its not even a certificate its just a piece of paper that say i bought the car and that the car is mine. The reason for the non-repairable paper is because it was in a salt water flood but the water only got as high as the bottom of the brake calipers. Could i get it re-inspected and apply for a new title?

Sounds like you just have the bill of sale.
You could try to get a salvage title issued, but I doubt they will do that.

Good luck

there are ways to get around everything you just have to know what to do

not all of them are totally legal however

You can get it registered.

Just apply for a certification of salvage.

Then get it reconstructed.

You should contact your DMV for information on what inspections you will need to pass to get a salvage title.

This is governed by state law so every state is different. The first place to start is DMV but don't expect to get all the right answers there. My wife used to work at DMV while at the same time I was in college attending law classes. Some of the interpetations of the law her employer would come up with were simply wrong. Mostly, in a case like yours, they would like you to go away.

Most states have a web page with state laws and ordinances. Also, you should talk to used car dealers. They know titles. Finally, if all else fails, get an attorney. Every once in awhile, an attorney, representing some interested party, would come to my wifes office and straighten out some mess DMV had created.

also, might want to try a local body shop or junk yard. I am sure they deal with salvage titles all the time.

good luck, as someone else said there are ways around everything, but sence it didn't come with a salvage title from the state it was purchased in, it's going tobe alittle hard. Post up some pix and remember just be very careful of saltwater, it eats everything................ GL
