should put stock exhaust back on?

I have cams, a tune and a 3’’ ebay turbo back exhaust with a resonator. You can probably see what I have in my signature, but I want my car back to being quiet. I was thinking of going back to the stock exhaust, any performance difference?

Anyone recommend a super quiet exhaust with my set up? Someone suggest going with a cat back HKS.

Thanks for stopping by...

Don't go back to stock, its not worth suffocating your baby to make her quiet, and you will loose power. Just my .02

I'm going this exact same setup as a DD, I want a super quiet car and not going for highest HP, but with an FPgreen.

to go from a full 3" to a stock exhaust will have a heavy performance draw back

I would even suggest retuning for it

maybe you should consider a high flow cat and see if that quiets it down enough for you

A resonated testpipe (even a cheap eBay or Megan one) plus a quieter mellow catback like the Perrin or Cobb should be plenty quiet for anyone.

Cobb and Tanabe both make great quiet exhaust options.

Well so far I have put back the cat plus a resonator on the exhaust and it seems a lot better. But I might just run down pipe, cat and turbo back 3'' aftermarket exhaust.

Tanabe and Cobb sounds like a good option.

Cobbs are super quiet, but no longer available. You might be lucky if you call around to the vendors though.

Offtopic, but is the Perrin quiet? I've seen clips on youtube, but not too sure...Are there any dronings with the Perrin?

HKS Silent Hi Power is slightly louder than stock and still 3". Or just get a silencer for your current exhaust...

I just put a stock catback on my VIII with a megan resonated test pipe, Tomei exhaust manifold, O2 housing, and downpipe with 272 cams and its still pretty loud.. im looking to make it as quiet as possible... cheapest thing i could come up with right now was stock exhaust. also was looking for a stock look...

you can get the stock 9 muffler to replace your 8. i heard the 8 mufflers had a valve for some sort of backpressure thingy.
