no, it doesn't burn any oil, and yes i'm still on stock turbo. everything is pretty much stock except what's in my sig. that's probably the biggest reason the car has been trouble free this long. if you leave it alone, it'll run forever. when people start trying to outsmart the engineers that designed the car and start modifying poorly, that's when the reliability goes out of the window.
agree 100%- keep the mods basic, keep the clutch dumps to a min, and they last. I personally think the 4G63 is the best 4cyl engine ever built.
it sounds like they did a few durability improvements to the engine/drivetrain vs the DSMs. for comparison, I have 295k+ on my 92 talon, cyl head never been off. It went ~160k w/o using oil then started using some. I assume this is mostly the valve seals- the originals are still on the car lol, I am too lazy to change them. So it sounds like the valve seals are now improved as the guy with 200k said no oil usage either which is awesome since these engines don't exactly loaf down the hwy at 75 mph and 2000 rpm. With turbos for the DSM at ~120k they start to weep oil for me- but otherwise work. No DSM drivetrain complaints other than reshimming the front and rear diffs somewhere between 160-180K because of excessive backlash noise on decel- but now it's back- probably started at 280k again. I'd imagine this has been greatly improved in the evo to deal with the extra HP.
I need to hit 300k with this car but my commute is only ~50 mi RT and I don't drive it enough! Maybe in another year.

I <3 U 2.
congrats on hitting 150k! I'm going to hit 50k sometime this month. It really does make me happy knowing these cars can last that long with no problems. So long as you take care of it, it will take care of you!

That, I don't know...I haven't had any odd noises or problems with my TC or tranny. the only thing i can say is check all the fluid levels and make sure everything's good. make sure you don't have any leaks anywhere.

I have only 30k on my MR
