From the Evo 4 to the Evo 9, how much have trunk dimensions changed throughout the years?

I have a guy selling a sick looking Evo 4 spoiler. Was the Evo 4 trunk width smaller or larger that say the Evo 8 or 9?

Anyone hear of someone mounting an older model spoiler on an Evo 8/9?

Also, what about mounting a JDM Lancer MX wing on an 8/9?

I have been searching and cannot find measurements / compatibility anywhere on the net...

 

I am sure it will fit on the Evo 9/8 trunk, but the holes might not match up correctly because they are totally different wings. Here is a picture of the Evo 9 rally car with the Evo 4 style wing.

 

Would a JDM Lancer MX wing line up with the Evo 9 trunk?

Thats not an evo 9... nor is the spoiler similar to the evo 4's in any way.

 

You don't have to go with the JDM Lancer MX wing, there are people here that installed the shorty spoiler from the regular US Lancer that looks just like that.

 

lol why would you want to install something so ugly compared to what you already have on the car stock unless you got a rs.

False alarm...

The oem spoiler is very functional and nothing I put on is going to work as well...
