I would have to say a leaking o2 housing wouldn't cause the plumbing to not hold boost because once the exhaust gases get past the turbine blades, whether they go out the turbine blade through the primary port on a stock o2 housing or through the wastegate side once the flapper opens, they have already done their job as far as propelling the compressor wheel.

I would get it fixed ASAP regardless though.

its like the car hits full boost and it slowly makes it way down to 15 psi and holds there

i will fix it as soon and my parts get here. somehow the bolts backed out and all i see is 2 bolts holding it on and even they were about to fall out. luckly i caught it before everything fell out

the O2 housing is on the exhaust side, not the compressor side, therefore the issue lies somewhere else.

after thinking further about it, this is a stock turbo or stock appearing turbo with an internal waste gate correct? If the exhaust gases are escaping, that would explain why your boost is trickling down after it hits peak - then falls.

I would get it closed up asap bro.

Also, what about your wastegate spring? Hook your WG up to a pressurized system with a pressure meter to find out if it leaks under pressure.

You probably need to adjust the preload on the wastegate.

fixed leak and car is back to normal

so apperently a leaking o2 housing will cause your car to not be able to hold boost

yep, if you have the stock internal wastegate the leak is just the same as the wastegate opening. On an external gated system it would not do it.

glad you found it and it didn't hurt anything
