in my sentra the ebrake light on means you are low on brake fluid, not sure if it is the same on the evo

lol.. someone please fill me in too... ive been online all day today trying to figure out the same problem...

Im starting to beleive its my altenator because when I pull off the battery plug while the car is on.. the car just shuts off....

but at the same time.. I find it hard to believe my altenator is dead already...

plus its too much of a coinsidence that the brake light would come on at the same time..

Alternator for sure. How old is ur alt? Is it remanufactured? I would start by checking any loose connections or grounds around the battery, alternator, and starter.

Yes, your alternator is going bad if BOTH the e-brake light and battery light is on. Mine went bad a couple months back. When you go to change it, dont even bother trying to get to it from up top, Its a waist of time and much more of a hassle. Do it from under and it will take 1 hour.

-On a lot of modern day vehicles, both those lights on at the same time mean the alternator
