Big Turbo + Big Radiator = Clearance Issues

Hey guys, I just picked up an older BR cast 35R kit with the 38mm wastegate. I also bought a Mishimoto radiator, hoping that I could squeeze the two of them together. Yeah, no... It looks like I need about a half an inch more clearance in order to get the radiator to fit. I was thinking of pulling the A/C since I never use it anyway, and was wondering if anyone had a similar setup. The last thing I want to do is pull the A/C and still not have it fit. I think it will, but just seeing first if someone else has gone down this path.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

P.S. Just for anyone who says "Call Chad and get a half-width.", I already talked to him today. Trying to use parts I already bought before buying something else. The half-widths by CBRD sure are sexy though.

The AC condenser sticks out about a half an inch past the front engine bay frame. It has the foam surrond on it to prevent the rad from hitting it. That SHOULD be the half an inch clearance I need. Just trying to see if anyone has taken it out, and made a thick core rad fit.

This is true. The Mishimoto is just a little thicker than the stock radiator.

ooo really? mine sits flush to the frame with the foam padding protruding a little bit, but thats just mine... if yours sticks out a little and that gives you your room and you dont use the ac rip the bish out haha im debating pulling the trigger on taking mine out also haha

I have a 4088 twin scroll and it was close with the stock rad but the neck on it would not work so we went with a CBRD and it fit like a charm.

Can I pick one up today? Tell me you have a full width in stock and I'll leave right now.

get a new turbo kit
its common knowlege that a br cast kit must be ran with the stock radiator due to its wastegate placement.
