what would you do?? kinda lenghty
Well I'm kind of stuck on where i would like to go with my build that ill be starting here in the next month or so. I'm posting this to get your guys/girls opinions on what you would do and why, plus I'm sure some may have one of the two setups or has had them both and can speak from experience which would be a plus.
The car will for the most part be my DD this summer. I am sticking with the stock ECU, ill be running straight 93 pump, and will remain with the MAF (i MIGHT switch to SD).
The car will not be road raced/auto crossed, i MAY take it to the drag strip a couple times towards the end of summer. I'll mainly have it for driving around town, attending meets and going on some cruises with my buddies.
My main concern at this point are, 1) i only have an exedy 4 puck clutch that i just installed about a 1,500 miles ago and am wondering how will it hold up to the new found power I'll be putting down?? I will be upgrading to a twin disk next summer. So here's the 2 setups i have to choose from, LMK whatcha think
thanks for reading

thanks for the quick feedback guys.
i dont want it to sound like ill never race from a dig. i love racing at the track im just being a little cautious at the moment cause id hate to spend all the $$ on the setup, race it from a dig and break something thatll put me out for the whole summer.
i know the 35r will net me more power, especially in the future when i have a build motor and such but im focusing on what is right now. i just dont want to spend the extra $7-800 on the 35r and not really see any more HP than the red. ill probably end up going with the 35r cause i usually go big and not go home

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
A big turbo will not be fun in an AX.
How much HPDE experience do you have? What suspension, braking, ducting, weight reduction work have you done?

SmikeEvo: i will not be doing any autoXing at this point. that is something id love to get into down the road and when that time comes i will redo whats necessary. im more focused on going fast in a straight line. my main and really only concern at the moment is will my 4 puck hold the power of a 35r for the summer.
dambikeracer: i thought about the black but i thought if i was going to upgrade the red id just go big and invest a little into the future power of the car. id love to go with E85 but there is only 1 gas station within a 50 mile circumference of my house and up north here there really isnt going to be any more pumps going up anytime soon

hey whats up chaotichoax. i dont plan on dragging the car until the end of fall before she goes into storage cause i know doing so will kill the clutch easily. next year i will upgrade to a twindisk. i just wonder how well itll hold up doing the occasional punching it through a gear or racing from a roll. i suppose its a gamble anyway you look at it
i would go with the fp red or black man. These are turbos are amazing and already have put out sick numbers and times. I have had a 3582 non HTA though setup before on my old Evo, and it didnt perform like my Fp red no joke. Even with the future plan of building your motor, still a fully built motor with a fp red or black is damn near as good as a HTA 3582 especially the black. Not to mention it is 800 dollars cheaper and that extra cash can be used for your twin disc or something.
Take your time on your decision dude either way the car will be a blast to drive.
Not sure if all gt35r's are created equal, but I test drove an evo ix with one (not an AMS) and although it was really fun at high rpm's, i thought that something with less lag would work better for me for a DD.
whats up rockmanX! yea ive given it some more thought and im gonna stick with the Fp red setup with a new little feature. i found out the other day and i went and drove around to confirm it, that there are 3 gas stations in my city that sell E85, so ill be running that
